The Electric Fence is a sleek electronic detection system that does not compromise the look of your fence while still providing a highly effective means of deterring uninvited guests. The system consists of a grid of horizontal wires that start at the ground and continue to approx. 500 mm over the fence line. The flexible topping, which can also be applied independently, is virtually impossible to climb. A high voltage is applied to the wires for purposes of detection and as an effective deterrent. To prevent people from unnecessarily experiencing shocks, a low voltage can be applied for day-time detection. The system wires are twined and ‘elastic’ so that they remain taut under all weather conditions. The system is modular and several zones can be combined to create exactly the right solution for your specific situation.
